Kathryn
Pfeiffer joins the team of Professional Skill Builders and since 1991
has been the owner of Professional Presence, a corporate training
enterprise based in St. Louis that specializes in conducting presentations,
seminars, and personal coaching on the topics of first impressions, professional
image and appearance, and business etiquette.
Kathryn received her formal training and certification
from two internationally acclaimed image companies, Color Me Beautiful
and Always In Style. Additionally, Kathryn has a degree in nursing
awarded from Southeast University and held various management positions
during her fifteen years experience in the medical field.
Kathryn has had the opportunity to work with a variety of high profile clients. Some of her clients include: Thompson Coburn; Illinois Women in Government; Baird, Kurtz and Dobson; St. Louis Cosmetic Surgery, Inc.; Medical Group Managers Association; BJC Health System; Emerson Electric; Prichard-Osborne, LLC; and Schnucks Markets. She has functioned as an instructor of Professional Image at Saint Louis University, Washington University, and Missouri Baptist College.
Kathryn is extremely active in every area from broadcast to print. She was a featured anchor for a bi-monthly executive presence segment on KMOV-TV (CBS) and has been a consultant for on-camera talent in the broadcast industry. She is author of Body Beautiful, a book that teaches women to enjoy dressing their most precious gift- their body. She also co-authored Defining Business Casual: Decoding Casual Confusion in the Workplaceandpublished articles on executive image and business etiquette in the St. Louis Business Journal. Kathryn has been featured as an image expert for multiple articles in the St. Louis Post Dispatch.
To round out her experience Kathryn is a member of the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) where she previously served as the state of Missouri sponsor. She is currently a member and previous board member of The Fashion Group International Inc. of St. Louis. She was a previous board member of the Gateway Chapter of the National Speakers Association. Kathryn is also co-founder and prior board member of Dress for Success, a non-profit organization that provides interview appropriate clothing to low-income women seeking employment.
Kathryn’s experience speaks volumes,
however, her vivacious personality and genuinely caring attitude are what
make her an outstanding teacher and facilitator.
